Kathleen Baker (born February 28, 1997 in Winston-Salem , North Carolina ) is an American swimmer .

Life

Baker studies public health at the University of California, Berkeley, and competes for the California Golden Bears Swimming and Diving Team there.

Kathleen Baker qualified over 100m back for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and won the silver medal in this competition. She won gold in the USA's 4 × 100 m individual medley.

On July 29, 2018, the then 21-year-old swam a new world record over 100 m back in 58.00 s at the US Championships in Irvine .
