Kathleen Biermann

Kathleen Biermann (born April 30, 1975 in Dresden ) is a German author and director .

Life

She studied communication science (with a focus on journalism and public relations), psychology and art history at the TU Dresden , the Universidad de Navarra (Spain) and the Southampton Institute (England). As a child and adolescent, she played as a minor actress in the GDR television series Stories about the Garden Fence and Police Call 110 . Later, like other family members, she acted behind the camera. Her father Christian Biermann worked as an animator and animation director at DEFA - Studio for Animated Films in Dresden. Her brother René Biermann is a film and television producer in Dresden.

Since 2005 she has been working as a freelance writer and director of commercials. In addition, together with Andreas Jung, she directed the filming of the first 35 paragraphs of Samuel Hahnemann's “Organon der Heilkunst”.
