Kathrin Brigl

Kathrin Brigl (born August 23, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German author and songwriter, television and radio presenter .

Life

While still at school, she wrote for the Berlin Telegraf and interviewed celebrities for RIAS Berlin . Apart from three years of editorial work at Illustrierte Constanze (1967–1970), she was a freelancer all her life. In the early 1960s she wrote her own column in the Münchner Abendzeitung . In the middle of the decade she brought Frank Elstner on as a presenter with her own program on Radio Luxemburg . In between, she was part of the ensemble of the Berlin cabaret Die Bedienten for a year and a half .

In 1966 she made her debut as a writer and actress in the SFB production Der Zopf wears a pink ribbon again on television. Numerous TV documentaries and features for Norddeutscher Rundfunk followed. In your TV film Tips for Housewives - or: What do you actually want, Mr. Meier? Beginning with Ortrud , the actress and singer Angelika Milster was discovered in 1973 . Private

Marianne Kathrin Friederike Schlenger survived the war years in the Thuringian province. She finished school in post-war Berlin, but was already successful during this time as an autodidact and enthusiastic publicist who knew how to meet many demands and her own ideas.

Her first marriage to the merchant Heinrich Brigl (church art) was divorced in 1963. She has lived in Berlin again since 1979 and - after the actor Roland Astor - is the third married to the music and culture journalist Siegfried Schmidt-Joos. Her daughter Christine (* 1961) is an actress and director as well as the mother of the two grandchildren.
