Kathrin Frosch

Kathrin Frosch (* 1968 in Heidelberg ) is a German stage and costume designer.

Life

The stage and costume designer Kathrin Frosch studied theater design at the Slade Academie of Fine Art in London.

Since 1994 she has been working as a freelance artist for film , television , theater and opera . She worked at the Staatstheater Hannover , the Staatstheater Stuttgart , the Thalia Theater Hamburg , the Konzerttheater Bern , the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin , the Deutsches Theater Berlin , the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , the Staatsschauspiel Dresden , the Schauspiel Leipzig , the Schauspiel Köln , at the Oper Basel , at the Ruhr Festival , at the Opera in Cape Town and at the Schauspiel Frankfurt .

From 2007 to 2008 she also acted as director of the theater design department at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin under the direction of Armin Petras . From 2003 to 2011 she was responsible for the visual concept of the Theatertreffen at the Berliner Festspiele .

At times she cooperated with directors such as Christopf Schlingensief , Stephan Rottkamp and Konstanze Lauterbach .

Frosch has been a visiting professor at the Tooneelacademie in Maastricht since 2015 .
