Kathryn Bolkovac (* in the 20th century ) is a former US police investigator .

Life

Kathryn Bolkovac comes from the US state of Nebraska and went to post-war Bosnia as a police instructor in the late 1990s . There she was deployed to the UN in the IPTF through the private military service provider DynCorp .

After a film screening of The Whistleblower , the then UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon opened a panel discussion on the subject of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse in conflict and post-conflict situations. The filmmakers and senior UN officials addressed the issues raised in the film - including human trafficking and forced prostitution - and called on the organization to step up efforts to combat the sexual exploitation of women and children.

Bolkovac now lives in Nebraska's capital, Lincoln, as well as in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam . She has not found a job in public services since the affair.
