Katja Hess

Katja Hess (* 1946 in Krombach ) is a German painter .

life and work

Katja Hess studied English and German at the University of Heidelberg and at the University of Utrecht and then worked as a high school teacher in Heidelberg . In 1997 she left the teaching post. She then studied as a student of Robert Cenedella at the Art Students League of New York , where she took part in a group exhibition for students in 2001. She also took lessons at the Cooper Union as a student of Peter Schroth and Jeff Tolbert. She is a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists , GEDOK and the Heidelberg Forum for Art. She lives and works in Heidelberg.

Exhibitions (selection)

Since 1997 she has exhibited her work at home and abroad. Among other things, she had solo exhibitions in the Heidelberg House in Montpellier , in the Slevogt Gallery of the Landesmuseum Mainz and in the Feuerbachhaus in Speyer. She also took part in the VII. International Biennial of Drawing in Pilsen.
