Katja wishes (* 2. April 1981 in Dresden ) is a German ballet - dancer . Since the 2012/13 season she has been working as principal soloist with the Ballet Zurich .

Life

Katja Wünsche grew up in Berlin and already worked in the corps de ballet of the State Opera during her school days . In Berlin she received training at the State Ballet School Berlin and graduated in 1999. At the beginning of the 1999/2000 season she became a member of the corps de ballet of the Stuttgart Ballet , in the 2002/03 season she was a semi- soloist, 2003/04 a soloist and in the 2006/07 season she was first soloist of the ballet. For the 2012/13 season she moved to the Ballet Zurich.

repertoire

Katja Wünsches repertoire of leading roles in narrative ballets includes the title roles in Romeo and Juliet ( John Cranko ), La Sylphide ( Peter Schaufuss , based on August Bournonville ) and Lulu. A monster tragedy ( Christian Spuck ) as well as Princess Aurora in Marcia Haydées Sleeping Beauty (after Marius Petipa ), Olga in Onegin and Katharina and Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew (both: John Cranko), Stella in Endstation Sehnsucht and Manon Lescaut and Prudence in The Lady of the Camellias (both: John Neumeier ), Columbina in Pierrot Lunaire ( Glen Tetley ) and Myrtha, the Queen of the Wilis in Giselle (after Reid Anderson and Valentina Savina). She danced other leading roles in Swan Lake (John Cranko) and in Don Quichotte (Maximiliano Guerra).
