Katka Kurz (born April 16, 1974 in Dresden ) is a German actress .

Life

Katka Kurz comes from a theater family, her grandmother is the dancer and choreographer Inge Bader , her father is the actor Günter Kurz , her mother is the actress Regina Bader .

She had ballet lessons from the age of five to fifteen . At the age of 13 she played her first role at the Dresden State Theater as the rose girl in Heinrich von Kleist's Penthesilea , directed by Wolfgang Engel .

At the age of 15 she began her studies at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin , and from the third year she made her debut as viola in William Shakespeare's Was Ihr wollt at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, where she was engaged for six years. For this role she received the Berlin Critics' Prize.

From 1996 she worked for a year at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam , switched to artistic director Christoph Schroth at the Cottbus State Theater until 1999 and was permanently engaged at the Dresden State Theater for nine years from 2001.

Kurz lives with her husband, the actor Dirk Glodde , in Switzerland, where she is employed at the Basel Theater. You have a daughter.
