Günter Kurz (born December 26, 1943 in Chemnitz ) is a German actor .

Life

Günter Kurz trained at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . From 1969 to 2009 he had an engagement at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden , where he could be seen in countless roles. Among other things, he played Adam in the world premiere of Peter Hacks ' comedy Adam and Eve in 1973 , was Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller , James Tyrone in One Long Day Journey into the Night by Eugene O'Neill , the town musician Miller in Friedrich Schiller's Kabale und Liebe or directed by Holk Freytag the Earl of Gloucester in the Shakespeare drama King Lear .

Günter Kurz has been working in front of the camera again and again since the 1970s. He was seen in crime series like Polizeiruf 110 , The Public Prosecutor Has the Word or the Tatort , as well as in the film adaptation of Erich Loest's novel Nikolaikirche and the television film Days of the Storm . He played Karl May in the ZDF documentary series Terra X , among others .

Günter Kurz is married to the actress Regina Bader . Their daughter Katka also works as an actress.
