The cats Mountains ( Polish Wzgórza Trzebnickie , colloquially Kocie Góry ) is to just 257  m high mountain range in southwestern Poland .

geography

The ridge is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in the central section of the Trebnitz ridge ( Wał Trzebnicki ). There it lies between the Oder in the southwest and the Barycz ( Bartsch ) in the north, about 20 kilometers north of Wroclaw and immediately south, east and west of Trzebnica .

Surname

In addition to the popular terms Katzengebirge or Katzenberge , a number of other terms exist or existed in German, such as Trebnitzer Gebirge , Trebnitzer Berge , Trebnitzer Hügel , Trebnitzer Höhen , Trebnitzer Katzengebirge , which refer to the place Trebnitz (today Trzebnica ). The colloquial Polish version, Kocie Góry, is the literal equivalent of "Katzenberge".
