The Kavrayskiy Hills ( Russian Горы Каврайского Gory Kawraiskowo ) are a series of hills on the Oates coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . They tower south of Rennick Bay on the western flank of the lower section of the Rennick Glacier . Blohmhügel belongs to them .
Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped and named it in 1958. It was named after the Soviet astronomer and cartographer Vladimir Vladimirovich Kawraiski (1884–1954). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this designation into English in 1965.
