The Pomerantz-plateau is 15 km long and 2,290  m high-altitude plateau in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located approximately 25 km northwest of the Daniels Range in the Usarp Mountains .

The area was from the United States Geological Survey and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy charted from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1964 after the American physicist Martin A. Pomerantz (1916-2008), director of the Barthol Research Foundation at the University of Delaware and chairman of the US committee for the International Year of the Quiet Sun , 1959 until 1960 and 1961 to 1962 carried out investigations on cosmic rays in the area of McMurdo Sound .
