As a literary scholar, he has given several lectures on Ror Wolf , from whom he was also authorized to write his biography. For the winter semester of 2002, the University of Hamburg gave Sokolowsky a teaching position as a guest lecturer for a German seminar on the New Frankfurt School and its consequences for “ The Harald Schmidt Show ”, which he carried out free of charge and with unusual media attention for the university.

On October 19, 2009, an interview with Sokolowsky was published on the Islamist German portal Muslim-Markt , in which he spoke about conspiracy theories and Islamophobia on the occasion of the publication of his book Feindbild Moslem .

In the spring of 2011, he criticized Bernard-Henri Lévy for his advertising for the military interference in the civil war in Libya, which was being promoted by France, and described him as a "philosopher" and "busybody".
