history

Kayh

Kayh was mentioned as Gehai (place where wood is cut) as early as the 12th century (around 1190). At that time viticulture played a decisive role, which also led to prosperity. However, this was supplanted by fruit growing . In terms of fruit cultivation, the place is located in one of the largest contiguous orchards in Europe. Today, mainly plums , cherries and pome fruit are grown for juice extraction and the production of fruit brandies.

On December 1, 1971, Kayh was incorporated into Herrenberg.
