Kaylin Richardson (born September 28, 1984 in Minneapolis , Minnesota ) is a former American ski racer .
biography
Richardson contested her first FIS race in December 1999. In the Nor-Am Cup , she was first at the start in November 2000. With a total of ten victories (eight of them in slalom), she decided the slalom classification for herself between 2003 and 2005 and in 2004 she achieved third place in the overall classification. From November 2002 she started in the European Cup and celebrated her only victory in February 2004.
In November 2003 Richardson started in the World Cup for the first time and won her first World Cup points on February 27, 2005 in the combination of San Sicario with 16th place. She achieved her best results in the 2006/07 season . She achieved her best World Cup result on January 7th, 2007 with eighth place in the slalom of Kranjska Gora and finished four times in the top 15. In the next few years she could not come close to these results.
In 2006 and 2010 , Richardson took part in the Winter Olympics and finished 17th in the combined and super combined. At the 2007 World Championships , she reached 12th place in the super combined, 23rd place in slalom and eleventh (and last) place with her teammates in the team competition. From 2006 to 2009 she was four times American champion. At the end of the 2009-10 season, Richardson announced her retirement.
