Kazeem Nosiru

Kazeem Nosiru (born November 25, 1974 in Lagos ) is a retired Nigerian table tennis player with an international career in the 1990s and 2000s. He won several medals at African continental tournaments, and until 2011 he took part in nine world championships and three Olympic Games .

Career

Kazeem Nosiru achieved numerous successes at the African Championships , in which he participated at least four times. He won gold four times, namely in 1992 in doubles (with Segun Toriola ) and with the Nigerian team, in 1994 in team competition and in 1996 in singles. There are also four silver medals. At the African Games he won doubles with Segun Toriola and with the team in 1999 and reached the final in mixed with Atisi Owoh. In 2003 he won gold again with the team. In 2007 he finished first in doubles with Monday Merotohun at the Commonwealth Championships .

By 2011, Kazeem Nosiru was nominated nine times for world championships (1993, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008), but never came close to medal ranks. He also had no chance at the 2000 , 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games .

His best world ranking position was registered in January 2001 with place 187.
