Kazuki Amagai (born January 14, 1990 ) is a former Japanese track cyclist who specialized in the short-term disciplines in track cycling.

Athletic career

From 2011 Kazuki Amagai was internationally active in track cycling, his successes were primarily on the continental level. He has been on the podium several times in the team sprint discipline with changing partners. At the UCI Track World Championships in 2012 he reached fourth place together with Seiichirō Nakagawa and Kazunari Watanabe . In 2019 and 2020 he was Asian champion in the team sprint with Yudai Nitta and Tomohiro Fukaya . At the second round of the 2018/19 Track Cycling World Cup in Hong Kong , he finished second with Nitta and Fukaya.

In his home country, Amagai is primarily known as a driver in the national Keirin series.

In July 2020, Kazuki Amagai returned from competitive international cycling after the Japanese team sprint team failed to qualify for participation in the Olympic Games the following year.
