Kees Luijckx ( pronunciation : [ ˈkeːs ˈlœy̯ks ], born February 11, 1986 in Beverwijk ; also Kees Luyckx ) is a Dutch football player . He last played for Roda Kerkrade in the Dutch Eredivisie and signed a two-year contract with the Hungarian top club from Székesfehérvár at Videoton FC at the end of February 2015 .

Player career

Kees Luijckx, who plays in central defense or defensive midfield, was brought into the first team of AZ Alkmaar in 2006 after playing in various youth teams at the club since 1996 . He was loaned to league rivals Excelsior Rotterdam for 18 months , as he was initially unable to assert himself at Alkmaar. He made his breakthrough at Excelsior and made it into the U21 national team of the Netherlands.

After returning to AZ, he was used more often, but could not prevail. After he had already been loaned to ADO Den Haag in the second half of the 2009/10 season , he moved to NAC Breda in summer 2010 . He stayed here for three years and then joined the league competitor Roda Kerkrade for the 2013/14 season .
