The Keim Peak is a striking and 2045 m high rocky peak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises from the southern foothills of the Pomerantz Tableland in the Usarp Mountains .
The area was mapped by surveys of the United States Geological Survey and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1964 after Mike B. Keim, photographer for aerial photographs of the VX-6 flight squadron Service of the US Navy in Viktorialand from 1962 to 1963, which was again active in Antarctica between 1963 and 1964 .
