Einaste had his first international appearance in 2004 at the Junior World Championships in Stryn . There his best was the 44th place over 30 kilometers classic. In January 2005 Einaste came to his first World Cup competition in Otepää . Over the distance of 15 kilometers, he came in 59th and last place. In 2006, together with Andrus Veerpalu , he won the Estonian championship title in the team sprint, which was carried out in the classic technique. In the 2007/08 season he just missed the final and thus his first World Cup points in the sprint in Kuusamo as 35th. In the same place, however, he succeeded a year later as 28th in the sprint in the classic technique. The rest of the 2008/09 season started Einaste mainly in the Scandinavian Cup. Only shortly before the end of the season he was called back to the Estonian World Cup team and missed the finals by 0.3 seconds in the classic sprint in Trondheim in 31st place. Because of this good result, he was also nominated for the World Cup final . However, it was the same for him in Stockholm as in Trondheim and he had to finish the competition as 31st after qualifying. At the end of the season he again won the Estonian championship title in team sprint (classic technique) together with Andrus Veerpalu.
In the preparatory competitions for the 2009/10 season in Muonio and Ounasvaara , Finland , he showed himself to be much better than the previous season with top ten results and was nominated for the first World Cup sprint of the season in Kuusamo , as in previous years . This time, too, it was shown that the competition in Kuusamo, which is carried out using the classic technique, suits the 1.96 meter tall athlete very well. As twelfth in the qualification, he made it through to the quarter-finals. In his run he had to admit defeat to the eventual winners Ola Vigen Hattestad and Björn Lind and in 13th just missed qualifying for the semi-finals of the top twelve athletes, but achieved his best World Cup result so far. He succeeded in this in January 2010 at the home world cup in Otepää . There he just failed to make it into the final and achieved his first top ten result in the World Cup with seventh place. This secured him the nomination for the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver . There, however, he clearly failed as 59th to qualify for the finals. In the preparatory competitions for the 2010/11 season in Muonio, Einaste convinced with a you in the sprint competition, which was held in the classic technique. He then proved his good form at the start of the World Cup, when he reached the semi-finals in Kuusamo and finished eleventh.
