Keita Gotō ( Japanese 後 藤 圭 太 , Gotō Keita ; born September 8, 1986 in Iwai , Ibaraki Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Keita Gotō learned to play football in the youth team of the Kashima Antlers . It was here that he signed his first contract in 2005. The club from Kashima , a city in Ibaraki Prefecture , played in the country's first division, the J1 League . In 2007, 2008 and 2009 he celebrated the Japanese football championship with the club. In 2007 the club reached the final of the Emperor's Cup . Here they won 2-0 against Sanfrecce Hiroshima . He won the Supercup in 2009. The game against Gamba Osaka was won 3-0. In 2010 he moved to the second division club Fagiano Okayama in Okayama . Until 2014 he played 166 times with the club in the second division, the J2 League . The first division club Matsumoto Yamaga FC from Matsumoto signed him in 2015. At the end of 2015 he had to relegate to the second division with Matsumoto. His former club Fagiano Okayama took him back under contract in early 2018.
