Keith Woodall

Keith Eugene Woodall (born August 4, 1926 in Elmira , Ontario , † May 17, 1981 in Halifax , Nova Scotia ) was a Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

Keith Woodall began his career as a hockey player in the junior team Kitchener Greenshirts, for which he was active from 1944 to 1946. He then played for one year each in the Senior Ontario Hockey League for the Owen Sound Mohawks and Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen. In the 1948/49 season, the goalkeeper stood between the posts for the Edmonton Flyers. In the 1949/50 season he played for Streatham in the British National League . After returning to Canada, he first ran for a year for the Glace Bay Miners in the Cape Breton Major Hockey League, before he spent just as long with the Brantford Redmen in Ontario. From 1952 to 1956 he played again for the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen, with whom he won the Allan Cup , the Canadian amateur championship, in 1953 and 1955 . He also represented Canada with the Dutchmen at the 1956 Winter Olympics. Following the tournament, he ended his career at the age of 30.

International

For Canada , Woodall took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , where he won the bronze medal with his team.
