The Keles ( Kazakh and Russian Келес ; Uzbekistan Keles ) is a right tributary of Syrdarja in Kazakhstan area Türkistan and in the Uzbekistan Tashkent Province .

The Keles has its source in the Qarschantau Mountains. It flows in a south-westerly direction through southern Kazakhstan, mostly parallel to the border with Uzbekistan. At Saryaghasch it briefly forms the border with Uzbekistan. The city of the same name Keles is located here on the Uzbek river side. The river Keles finally flows into the Syr Darya after 241 km above the Schardara reservoir . The Keles drains an area of ​​3310 km². At the mouth, the mean discharge (MQ) is 6.5 m³ / s. Water for irrigation is drained in the lower reaches .
