The Tetere ( Russian Тэтэрэ ) is a 486 km long right tributary of the Stony Tunguska (Podkamennaja Tunguska) in the Irkutsk Oblast and the Krasnoyarsk Region in Russia .

The Tetere rises on the Central Tusian Plateau (Zentralnotungusskoje plato) in the eastern part of the Central Siberian Mountains , a good 200 km northwest of the city of Kirensk an der Lena . It flows in wide arcs first in a north-westerly direction, then in a westerly direction over the plateau. In the rocky valley, which is deeply cut in sections, there are many rapids . The river flows into the Stony Tunguska a good 20 km south (upstream) of the village of Wanawara .

The catchment area of the Tetere covers 13,700 km². The most important tributaries are Nemui (length 94 km), Segotschamba (119 km), Jelindukon (153 km) and Paiga (110 km), all from the right. The river freezes over from October to May.

The Tetere flows through a very sparsely populated area. Today there are no towns on the river; earlier settlements, such as Tetere, named after the river, on the upper reaches not far from the confluence of the Nemui, were abandoned before the 1980s.
