Kellogg Kennon Venable Casey (born September 17, 1877 in New York City , † October 18, 1938 in Wilmington ) was an American sports marksman .
successes
Kellogg Casey took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London in part, in which he took in two disciplines. In the distance of more than 1000 yards with the free rifle, he took second place with 93 points and thus secured the silver medal behind Joshua Millner and in front of Maurice Blood . With the army rifle, he was part of the US team, which was Olympic champion over six different distances from Great Britain and Canada . In addition to Casey, William Leushner , William Martin , Charles Winder , Ivan Eastman and Charles Benedict also wonthe gold medal. With 423 points he was the fourth best shooter on the team.
Casey fought as a member of the 71st Infantry Regiment in the Spanish-American War . He was the military equipment sales director at DuPont , where he worked for over 30 years.
