Kelly Forbes
Kelly Forbes (born December 26, 1973 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a Canadian skeleton rider .
Kelly Forbes lives in Calgary. He has been involved in skeleton since 2003 and has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2005. His trainer is Willi Schneider . Forbes made its international debut in the 2003/04 season as part of the Skeleton America's Cup . In all six races he placed between ranks seven and eleven. At the Skeleton North American Championship in 2004 he was surprisingly third on his home track in Calgary behind his compatriots Ryan Davenport and Turc Harmesynn . In the following season he started with a second and a third place in Calgary in the America's Cup and then started in Altenberg for the first time in the framework of the Skeleton European Cup and came seventh there. In January 2005 Forbes was allowed to compete in a Skeleton World Cup race for the first time in Cesana Pariol , where he finished 14th, as in the following race in St. Moritz . The highlight of the season was the 2005 Skeleton World Championship in Calgary. Here the Canadian took eleventh place. At the Canadian Championships, he was fourth. In 2005/06 and 2006/07 Forbes competed regularly in the World Cup. His best result so far is tenth in November 2006 in Calgary. In 2007/08 he started in the newly created Skeleton Intercontinental Cup . Here his best individual result was a second place in Park City , in the overall standings he came in sixth place.
