Ken Asaeda ( Japanese 朝 枝 健 Asaeda Ken ; born July 27, 1983 in Mannheim ) is a former German - Japanese football player .

Career

Ken Asaeda played in the youth of SV Waldhof Mannheim since he was 13 years old . Before the blue-blacks were relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga in 2003 , the German-Japanese played for the Mannheim team, which was also fourth-class at the time. On April 27, 2003 Asaeda came to his only second division so far. When the score was 0: 1, he was substituted on by Stefan Kuntz for Kenan Kocak against Karlsruher SC in the 80th minute . The game was lost 2-0 in the end. Due to the fact that the regional league license was not granted for the 2003/04 season , SV Waldhof had to start directly in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. Ken Asaeda moved up to the completely newly formed 1st team from Mannheim and quickly became a crowd favorite thanks to his willingness to run. From 2003 to 2007 he scored 13 goals in 120 league games for SV Waldhof. In the summer of 2007, the 1.71 meter tall player moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf on a free transfer , where he was mainly used in the Oberliga reserve. From there it went on to Viktoria Aschaffenburg in the new Regionalliga Süd in summer 2008 . In the 2009/10 season Asaeda played in the third division for Wuppertaler SV Borussia . At the end of the 2009/10 season, Asaeda moved to the Regionalliga Süd for KSV Hessen Kassel for a year , for which he played a total of 27 games, in which, however, he remained without scoring.

For the 2011/12 season Asaeda moved for the second time to Wuppertaler SV Borussia , who now played in the Regionalliga West. There, however, he was only used sporadically and mostly commuted between the first and second team. Asaeda then left the club after a year and joined Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . In his first season in Oberhausen he made 18 league appearances, but in the following 2013/14 season he was no longer included in the first team's squad. Asaeda then dissolved his contract in January 2014 and moved to Eintracht Trier . At the end of the season he ended his playing career.

Today Ken Asaeda is a trainer in the youth division of Rot-Weiß Oberhausen.
