Kenneth H. Blanchard

Kenneth (Ken) H. Blanchard (born May 6, 1939 in New Jersey ) is an American entrepreneur and author of management books.

Life

He is the owner of the Ken Blanchard Company, a family business in San Diego , California and became known for developing the Situational Leadership Style with Paul Hersey . With Spencer Johnson he developed the concept of the " One Minute Manager " and published a series of books on the subject. It has been sold over 7 million times and translated into over 20 languages.

Ken Blanchard received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Cornell University and later a master's degree in sociology from Colgate University . He later received a doctorate in science from Cornell University and worked as a professor of leadership and organizational behavior at the University of Massachusetts , and as a visiting professor at Cornell University, where he is also a member of the "Board of Trustees".
