The Kennel Peak is an over 800 m high and distinctive mountain on the Hobbs coast of the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . In the Demas Range it rises around 800 m north of Rockney Ridge .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1969. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after A. Alexander Kennel, ionospheric physicist and scientific director of the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1969.
