Kenny Schmidt (born May 23, 1987 in Zschopau ) is a German soccer player .

Schmidt learned to play football at FV Krokusblüte Drebach and Chemnitzer FC . After he did not have a permanent place in his first team, he moved to Werder Bremen II for the 2006/07 season . Here he played mainly as a substitute for two years before joining Energie Cottbus . He returned last professional stop was the FC Erzgebirge Aue , for Schmidt 2008/09 on the opening day was on the grid and thus its debut in the third League against Eintracht Braunschweig was, where he in the 64th minute against Maik Georgi replaced has been. Then Schmidt first played again with his youth club FV Krokusblüte Drebach before moving to SC Borea Dresden , from which he moved to VfB Fortuna Chemnitz for the 2010/11 season.
