Live and act

Keno Bergholz was born in Emden as the only child of a judge and a teacher. He attended the Petkum-Widdelswehr elementary school and graduated from high school at Treckfahrtstief, today's Max-Windmüller-Gymnasium . At the age of five, Bergholz took his first piano and trumpet lessons and later learned several other instruments such as trombone, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone and organ. He studied political science and German at the University of Bremen .

Already during his school days, Bergholz worked on school magazines and youth radio programs in the open channel. This is how Klaus Pommer, program manager of the oldies broadcaster Radio Ostfriesland , became aware of him and Bergholz began working as a freelancer for the broadcaster during his last school years. Here he initially worked in the editorial team and presented the “Radio Ostfriesland Party Night” every Friday evening. After finishing school, he completed a traineeship at the broadcaster and worked with John Ment , Christian Fremy and Detlef Kuschka , among others . During this time Bergholz could be heard several times as a reporter from East Friesland in the Antenne Bayern program .

At the end of 2012 he took over as the morning presenter for the program “The Long Morning” on Radio Ostfriesland (alternating with Ben Koch ).

After a short transition period at the audio service of the German Press Agency in Berlin , Jan Weyrauch brought him to Popwelle Bremen Vier in 2015 , after seeing him present the gala at the Emden-Norderney International Film Festival . At Bremen Vier, Bergholz initially worked as an editor and weekend and Springer moderator and also worked as a reporter for “Bremen Vier geht rum” for several years. In October 2018, he took over the moderation of the afternoon route “Bremen Four Runs”, alternating with Malte Janssen .

Since he started working for the radio, he has also been a regular stage presenter for various local events and shows. Since 2015 he has been a regular presenter of the awards gala at the Emden-Norderney International Film Festival.

He also works as a musician and played in various bands and music groups in East Friesland. Again and again he allows musical ideas to flow into his radio broadcasts and stage presentations. In 2017, Bergholz was one of the co-founders of the party band "Bremen Vier Blaskapelle", which appears as a marketing tool for the radio station at events in the broadcasting area. Occasionally Bergholz also works as a DJ and sound engineer .

From February 2020 he will be the new morning presenter at Bremen Vier .
