Kentarō Seki ( Japanese 関 憲 太郎 , Seki Kentarō ; born March 9, 1986 in Fujioka , Gunma Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kentarō Seki learned to play football in the school team of Kunimi High School and in the university team of Meiji University . He signed his first professional contract with Vegalta Sendai in 2008 . The Sendai club played in the country's second highest league, the J2 League . In 2009 the goalkeeper won the J2 League championship with the club and was promoted to the first division . After promotion he went on loan to the second division Yokohama FC in Yokohama . He was in goal 59 times for Yokohama. In 2013 he returned to Sendai. In 2018 he was in the final of the Imperial Cup with the club . In the final they lost 1-0 against the first division Urawa Red Diamonds .
