Kerstin Zillmer (born March 9, 1962 in Bielefeld ) is a German photographer .

Life

The master student of Prof. Arno Fischer studied photography from 1989 to 1994 at the University of Applied Arts under Vicente del Amo in Granada (Spain). She has been living as a freelance photographer in Berlin since 1993 .

Since 1994 numerous gallery and museum exhibitions in Germany, France, Spain and Poland, including the solo exhibitions Die Autonomie der Dinge (Nantes 2005), The Other Life ( Kunsthalle Erfurt 2002) and Leisure Time with a Short Arm (Gustav-Lübcke-Museum Hamm 2000) .

2005 artist in residence at the 9 ° Quinzaine Photographique Nantaise in Nantes (France). Her illustrated book Children of Hopelessness about the life of Berlin street children , sponsored by the Saarland Foundation , was published in 1997. With the artist collective Pruebas Urbanas, she received an award in 1992 for the photo performance Secuencias Ferrosas at the Arnhem Performance Festival.

In 2010 her illustrated book Hinter der Linden was published. The Berlin State Ballet as artistic documentation of the rooms and people of the Berlin State Ballet in the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden, which is about to be renovated .

Since 2016 she has been editor-in-chief of the online magazine float , which she co-founded and which is thematically devoted to everything "that moves on water".
