Kevan Gosper
Kevan Gosper ( Richard Kevan Gosper ; born December 19, 1933 in Newcastle , New South Wales ) is a former Australian sprinter .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver in 1954 , he won gold over 440 yards and bronze in the 4-by-110 and 4-by-440-yard relay.
In 1956 he reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Melbourne over 400 m . In the 4 x 400 meter relay , he won the silver medal with the Australian team in the cast Leon Gregory , David Lean , Graham Gipson and Gosper.
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff in 1958 , he again won bronze in the 4-by-110 relay, at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome he was eliminated over 400 m in the semifinals.
From 1956 to 1960 he was five times in a row Australian champion over 440 yards, 1957 also over 220 yards.
Kevan Gosper was a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from 1977, and has been an honorary member since 2014.
