Kevin Dawson , full name Kevin Emiliano Dawson Blanco , (born February 8, 1992 in Colonia del Sacramento ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The 1.78 meter tall goalkeeper Dawson was at the beginning of his career in the ranks of the Uruguayan first division club Nacional Montevideo . There he was not used in the Primera División , but only in the Reserve / U-23 ( Formativas ). In September 2011 he joined the second division side Plaza Colonia on loan . There he took over after Nicolás Biglianti's move to Liverpool FC, the goalkeeper position in the first team coached by Luis Matosas . After 13 second division appearances and two play-off games in the 2011/12 season, he ran in 28 games (including two play-off games) in the Segunda División in the 2012/13 season . This was followed by 30 and 14 second division matches in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. His club then rose to the Primera División. There he was used in 29 first division games in the 2015/16 season. During the 2016 season he was used 15 times in the league and twice in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana . In January 2017, Club Atlético Peñarol signed him for one year as part of a loan deal.
National team
Dawson was - led by the second surname Kevin Blanco - a member of the Uruguayan U-15 team coached by Fabián Coito , which took part in the U-15 South American Championship in Brazil in 2007 and finished second behind the host country. He was part of the squad of the Uruguayan U-17s at the U-17 South American Championship 2009 in Chile and at the U-17 World Cup in 2009 in Nigeria . In the World Cup finals, he remained behind Salvador Ichazo without commitment.
