Kevin Grund (born August 14, 1987 in Oberhausen ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Kevin Grund is a home-grown MSV Duisburg . Since he joined the club at the age of seven, he played in all of the Zebras youth teams and in 2006 moved up to the second team of the MSV, which played in the Oberliga Nordrhein . After he was only used irregularly there in the first year, he was a regular player on the left offensive side from the 2007/08 season.

In February 2009 he received a professional contract due to the local player regulation and in the pre-season preparation of the following season he was convincing, so that he was permanently accepted into the professional squad by coach Peter Neururer . When Olivier Veigneau was injured shortly before matchday 26 , Kevin Grund came on March 15, 2010 as his replacement for his professional debut from the start.

In summer 2011 he moved from MSV Duisburg to Rot-Weiss Essen . With Essen he won the Niederrhein Cup in 2012, 2015 and 2016 . On the 24th match day of the 2018/19 regional league season , the defender played his 250th competitive game for the club in a 3-0 away win against SV Lippstadt 08 .
