Kevin Herbst (born May 7, 1994 in Hamburg ) is a German handball player .

Career

Kevin Herbst has played for HSV Hamburg since 2011 , after having played for SG Hamburg-Nord . Since the 2013/14 season, the 1.89-meter-tall right winger , who can also be used in the right back area, has been part of the Hamburg Bundesliga team . He also played with the second team in the Oberliga Hamburg - Schleswig-Holstein . On May 24, 2014, he made his debut in the Bundesliga on the last day of the match. He scored two goals against TV Emsdetten . In the summer of 2015 he moved to the second division club HC Erlangen . With Erlangen he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2016. In summer 2017 he returned to the handball sports club Hamburg. In 2018 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Hamburg. In 2019 he moved to the third division club Mecklenburger Stiere Schwerin .

Herbst was part of the German youth team, for which he scored 62 goals in 36 international matches . With the national team he won the bronze medal at the U-19 World Cup in Hungary in 2013 .
