The Khorab Memorial ( English Khorab Memorial ) is a war memorial near Otavi in the Otjozondjupa region in Namibia . This has been a Namibian National Monument since September 28, 1973 .
The monument in the form of a tombstone is located under an omuparara tree. The dedication plaque commemorates the surrender of the German Schutztruppe on July 9, 1915 and the end of German South West Africa .
