Kid Kopphausen was a German rock band from Hamburg that was founded by Nils Kopagh and Gisbert zu Knyphausen in 2011.
history
Even before Kid Kopphausen was founded, the paths of the two musicians often crossed. So they accompanied each other on their tours. In 2008 they recorded the duo bones and meat for the sampler KunztStücke for the benefit of the street magazine Hinz & Kunzt . In October 2010 they released the vinyl single Die Aussicht as Nils Kopagh & Gisbert zu Knyphausen on the occasion of the “Record Store Week” . The song is also included on Koppruch's album Caruso .
The album with the name I was released on August 24, 2012 and entered the German album charts at number 29. As part of the publication, there were some exclusive live premieres in Berlin and Hamburg. On November 26, 2012, the album was awarded the HANS music prize for the best Hamburg album of 2012.
The collaboration ended with the death of Nils Kopracht on October 10, 2012 at the age of 46.
