Kidane Tadasse

Kidane Tadasse , also Tadesse or Tadese , (* 1987 in Adi Bana ) is an Eritrean long-distance runner . His older brother Zersenay Tadese is a multiple world champion and former world record holder on the half-marathon distance .

Life

Tadasse finished sixteen and eleven in the junior races of the 2005 and 2006 World Cross Country Championships . At the World Junior Athletics Championships in Beijing in 2006 , he was sixth in the 5000 meter run . Also in the Chinese capital, he made his first appearance in the adult sector. At the Olympic Games in 2008 , he was tenth in the 5000 m and finished twelfth in the 10,000-meter run .

At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 he reached ninth place over 10,000 m, while he missed the finals in the 5000-meter run. In 2010 he finished fifteenth at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz and won the silver medal in the national ranking with the Eritrean team.
