Kiera Cass

Kiera Cass (* 19th May 1981 in Myrtle Beach , South Carolina ) is an American writer , famous for its New York Times - bestselling series Selection is known. The German translation of the series by Susann Friedrich is published by S. Fischer Verlag .

Career

Kiera Cass attended Coastal Carolina University before moving to Radford University .

In 2012 she published the first book in the Selection book series, originally intended as a trilogy, at HarperTeen, an imprint of HarperCollins . The CW secured the rights to a television series and two pilot films have been made, but neither has been given the green light for a series. In April 2015, however, it was announced that Warner Bros. had acquired the film rights to the book. In addition to Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan from DiNovi Pictures', Pouya Shahbazian will also be working on the film as a producer. The screenplay will be written by Katie Lovejoy. On August 14, 2014, Kiera Cass announced that the Selection series will include more books. Another novella entitled The Favorite , which tells from Marlee's narrative perspective, appeared in early 2015. The fourth volume, Die Kronprinzessin , also followed. In 2016 Cass released the fifth volume, The Crown .

In May 2013, Cass announced that she was working on an as-yet-unnamed series, which she calls 238 on social networks . The series will also appear at HarperCollins.
