Denise Di Novi

Denise Di Novi (born March 21, 1956 in Sherman Oaks ) is an American film producer and director. She studied communications at Simmons College , Massachusetts, and received a degree in journalism. She works as a journalist for the National Observer , Canada AM and Citytv . She switched to the film industry in 1980 and has since been involved in over 40 productions. In 2017 she made her directorial debut and directed an episode of the series Bones . In the same year she shot her first feature film, Unforgettable - Tödliche Liebe .

At the Independent Spirit Awards 1990 , she and Michael Lehmann were awarded a prize in the category Best Debut Film for the film Heathers .
