action

Dawson, who comes from a broken family, and Amanda, who comes from a wealthy family, fall in love in high school and are an inseparable couple from then on. Although Amanda's father disapproves of Dawson because of his family and Dawson's tyrannical father also disapproves of the relationship, both stand together. After another physical attack by his father, Dawson ran away and found accommodation with workshop owner Tuck. He takes him in like a son and gives Dawson and Amanda a place to stay in his country house. A tragic event in which Dawson's best friend Bobby dies changes their lives and they go their separate ways. 21 years later, the two meet again at Tuck's funeral, which not only revives old memories, but above all the feelings of the two. Tuck bequeathed his country house to both of them because he realized that the two belonged together. But fate does not let her live her love. Amanda now has a family in which she is not happy, which she only learns through Dawson, just as he learns again what love means. But Amanda has to go back.

Over time, Amanda realizes that Dawson is who she wants. She separates from her husband. However, her son suffers an accident that seriously injures him, he needs a donor heart. His brothers want to kill Dawson after he got into a conflict with his father again. But Dawson incapacitates them, whereupon his father shoots him. A year later, it turns out that the donated heart that saved Amanda's son came from Dawson. The story ends at Tuck's country house. Amanda opens a letter that lets her reminisce and get Dawson close again.

Reviews

“Director Michael Hoffman [...] uses the illustration of this drama like a tally sheet. [...] The ingredients are presented without a trace of staging elegance. The actors are also sticky: Neither the teenage couple exudes burning passion, nor the more mature alter egos; there is no visual similarity between Dawson in young and adult version. The dramatic and psychological potential that this love story, which revolves around a psychopathic patriarch and a helping surrogate father, certainly has, degenerates into a bumpy colportage due to the careless dramaturgy.
