Sean Bridgers

Sean MacKenzie Bridgers (born March 15, 1968 in Chapel Hill , North Carolina ) is an American actor . He became famous for the role of Johnny Burns on the HBO series Deadwood . In addition, he has also appeared as a producer and screenwriter .

life and career

Sean Bridgers was born in the city of Chapel Hill , North Carolina . His father Ben was a lawyer who u. a. for the Cherokee campaigned, his mother Sue was a writer . Bridgers graduated from Western Carolina University and decided to become an actor and screenwriter. He himself states that his favorite author Mark Twain and the actor Robert Duvall , through his portrayal in Comeback der Liebe , inspired him for this career path.

Bridgers has been an actor since 1991. He was first seen in films such as Children of Wrath 2 - Deadly Harvest , before taking on the role of William Winters on Legacy in 1998 . In 1997, Bridgers wrote and produced the independent film Paradise Falls and played the role of Henry Bancroft . From 2004 to 2006 he worked as Johnny Burns in the series Deadwood , for which he and his colleagues were nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award in the category Best Acting Company in a Television Series - Drama .

As a result, Bridgers was mainly seen as a guest actor in series such as Criminal Minds , CSI: Vegas , Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten , Private Practice , Bones , Lie to Me or The Mentalist .
