Kieter (noble family)

Kieter is the family name of a German-Baltic noble family who had been raised to the imperial nobility in 1791 and who first appeared as fiscal administrator in the Latvian city of Wenden with Samuel Ludwig von Kieter (1758–1829) .

history

With the nobility diploma of May 18, 1791, Samuel Ludwig Kieter was admitted to the imperial nobility with the nobility privilege “von”. He and his descendants bore the name "von Kieter" and the corresponding coat of arms. SL Kieter was councilor , secretary of the district town of Wenden and the responsible fiscal officer. His son Johann Ludwig Alexander (1789-1852) followed him in the male line. The family established itself in Livonia with his sons Konstantin (* 1811), Alexander (* 1813), Gregor (* 1814) and Theodor (* 1826).
