The Kiewa Valley Highway is a trunk road in the northeast of the Australian state of Victoria . It connects the Murray Valley Highway in Wodonga with the Bogong High Plains Road in Mount Beauty and runs along the Kiewa River .

course

The road branches off the Murray Valley Highway (B400) in Bandiana , an eastern district of Wodonga, to the south and follows the west bank of the Kiewa River upstream. It ends in Mount Beauty, on the northern edge of the Alpine National Park .

Its continuation to the southeast is Bogong High Plains Road (C531), a small, winding road that leads to the Falls Creek Ski Resort and on to the Omeo Highway (C543) south of Glen Valley .

history

In the 1950s, the Kiewa Valley Highway was paved and its route was changed so that it ends in Mount Beauty.
