Kilian Wenger

Kilian Wenger (born May 11, 1990 ) is a Swiss wrestler . He was wrestling king at the Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival 2010 in Frauenfeld .

Life

Wenger completed an apprenticeship as a butcher and completed a second apprenticeship as a carpenter . He lives in Horboden ( Diemtigen municipality ) in the Bernese Oberland . Shortly before publication in 2015, Wenger stopped the biography Kilian Wenger, written by the journalist Christian Boss - from the natural talent into the limelight , as the book had not met his expectations in all parts.

Swing

Wenger swings for the Niedersimmental wrestling club . His favorite turns are the short, the Wyberhaken and the footstitch. He is 190 cm tall and weighs 107 kg. At the Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival 2010 in Frauenfeld , he won his first federal wreath and was king of wrestling with eight wins out of eight courses. He was the first wrestler since Ernst Schläpfer who could win all fights in a federal wrestling.

So far (March 2020) Wenger has won 21 wreath festivals and a total of 89 wreaths. 4 of them are federal, 14 cantonal, 47 sub-association and 24 mountain wreaths.

Wenger was ranked 20th in the official annual points list of the Swiss Federal Wrestling Association .

Honors

The municipality of Diemtigen granted Wenger honorary citizenship in 2011.
