Kim Friedman

Kim Friedman (born November 14, 1949 ) is an American theater and television producer and director .

Life

Friedman began her career in 1976 on the sitcom Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman , of which she directed about seventy episodes. Numerous episodes of television series such as LA Law , Hotel , Love Boat , The Denver Clan and Beverly Hills, 90210 followed . In the 1990s, Friedman worked increasingly for science fiction television series and staged episodes of Babylon 5 , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Raumschiff Voyager .

In 1988 Friedman was nominated for an Emmy Award for directing the episode Handroll Express of the LA Law series . She has not worked as a director since 2001. She gained attention in the American media in the mid-2010s as Crazy Jewish Mom; her daughter reports on Instagram about their turbulent everyday life.
