The Solokija ( Ukrainian : Солокія, Polish : Sołokija, in the Polish upper reaches also Załoka) is a left tributary of the Bug in Ukraine .
geography
The river, which is around 71 km long (88 km according to other information) , has its source near Tomaszów Lubelski in Roztocze in the Polish Lublin Voivodeship , flows away in a south-easterly direction, turns north-east just before the border with Ukraine, and crosses just before Uhniw (Угнів) current border (the area through which the Solokija flows here was given over to the former Soviet Union during the exchange of territory in 1951 ) and flows further in an easterly direction through the small town of Bels (Белз) and on to the confluence with the Bug just south of Chervonograd (Червоноград, to 1951 Krystynopol). The catchment area is given as 939 km².
