Kim Greist

Kim Greist (born May 12, 1958 in Stamford , Connecticut ) is an American actress .

Life

Connecticut-born Kimberley Greist worked as a professional model in Europe during her late teens . At 20 she returned to the United States and began her acting career in the off-Broadway comedy Second Prize: Two Months in Leningrad . She later appeared on stage at the New York Shakespeare Festival, among others. Her breakthrough came in 1984 with the horror film CHUD - Panic in Manhattan .

Just one year later she was engaged by Terry Gilliam for the role of Jill Layton in his work Brazil at the side of Jonathan Pryce , Robert De Niro and Bob Hoskins . She was subsequently seen in around two dozen other film and television productions up to and including 2001, and has not appeared as an actress since.
